Citadel - How is deal flow?
Any idea how deal flow is at Citadel's investment bank? How do you think exit opps would be coming from a place like this? Interesting to hear if jumping to the firm's hedge fund is common.
The Citadel investment bank is doing S&T, not IBD.
pretty sure that's not the case. maybe its something very very new. anyone else have any info?
They have lost a lot of key senior people recently. Not sure why this happened, but it would be a point of concern for me in evaluating a position there.
last i checked (~3 months ago) they had no plans to hire junior people soon. has this changed?
i think what little activity they have had has been on the capital markets side, not m&a
They hired the lev fin capital markets desk from Merrill, so yes it has mostly been cap markets activity.
How hard is it to get a job at Citadel out of undergrad? What are their core schools?
It's very difficult to get a front office position.
They recruit at the usual suspects - HWPY
citadel's starting its ibd advisory business - a friend just moved there as a 2nd year - otehrwise its mostly cap markets. You go there for the name if its IBD
