Looking at YTD league tables Citi is crushing it, and it seems like every single day there's a Bloomberg article about Citi poaching rainmakers from JPM et al.
Is Citi going to be top 3 on league tables within the next few years? Could see them go neck to neck with MS as MS shifts to PWM and Citi keeps throwing cash at their IB/M&A arm

They need to improve EMEA IBD and ECM. If they do so, yes, they could overtake MS within 2-4y. The gap with JPM is still substantial.
True but Citi is crushing it in India (biggest IPO market after the US) and japan and is probably the only western bank relevant in China today.
