Citi analysts, were you informed prior that incoming interns would receive full time offers?
This has nothing to do about gauging the likelihood of other banks following along etc which I honestly feel is quite a pointless discussion. We’ll find out by the time we intern anyway. However, this is something I’ve always wanted to know about the inner workings of an investment bank, I.e. how much everyone knows prior to one of these announcements. Were analysts told about this PRIOR to the email being sent out to interns? if so - was it the same day? or was everyone informed of ongoing discussions about what to do with interns etc.
