Citi Equity Capital Markets

I am currently looking for entry level positions and came across Citi's ECM. I did some research of my own, but would someone be willing to maybe explain further what the job curtails and if any, share any experiences whether your own or of an acquaintance? What might the positives and negatives of working in ECM as an Analyst? I always appreciate all of your help!

Thank you very much GOB!

As far as ECM is concerned, are there any differences across companies, and is there a clear leader within this area? How does Citi rank amongst the BB?

Thank you again!

Thank you again for the response. I unfortunately could not see the table, but how much do you think their slip is due to the fact that they had the US overlooking them? Will they be able to rebound now that the US is no longer a stakeholder?

As far as the ECM description is concerned, is the first site pretty much all inclusive and accurate? I would definitely appreciate any other help that you all have to offer. Thanks!

You make a free account to see the league tables. Citi is consistently a top 5 bank but this year they are ~7-9th in most categories. Ultimately, this means very little as again Citi is still a beast. Citi will be much better now with the government no longer being a shareholder because of less oversight and regulation. Also, the government sold its portion because Citi is healthy enough to self-sustain again. They are still a stakeholder, as we all are.
