It's supposed to be clear #1 at Citi and apparently one of the top groups on the Street (~top5-10) despite Citi, as a bank, being rather lower ranked.
I think you need to take a better look at the league tables my friend.

Where the hell do people get this idea that Citi is a lower ranked BB? Citi has historically dominated the league tables, then had a bad year, and now is right in the middle of the BB's. Exit opps from M&A, Industrials, Consumer, Comms have been phenomenal.

nope, and I think that the process is def. over by now i hope that im wrong tho...
i asked for the extension for numericals bcs i wasnt in a position to do them when i was invited (11.04.2013)

We’ve now extended your deadline for the test(s). Even so, it’s really important to complete it as soon as you can as we do recruit on a first-come, first-served basis. Plus, we are nearing the end of this year’s process – so it’s all the more important.

Did you pass to the assessment centre?
Europe and Russia have math/logic tests usually. Expect in person interviews to be really technical. Plus be fluent in the language of the country you are applying to.

Do the coverage groups at citi do meaningful work on a deal, or do they outsource all modeling to the M&A group? (in other words is it just pitching, or do the coverage groups have a good reputation)
Any info is appreciated.
Depending on the deal the coverage groups do the M&A modeling as well, especially for the more complex groups like Energy and Chemicals & Industrials.
Ditto above, certain groups at Citi ss Consumer, Energy etc do all their own M&A Modeling while some others certainly outsource
