Based on the most helpful WSO content, here’s what you can expect regarding Citi's NYC office perks for interns:

  1. Meal Stipend: Citi provides a meal stipend, but it has been noted that the amount is relatively low ($22.50) compared to other banks. Additionally, the delivery system for meals has received criticism for limited options and higher costs compared to previous systems like Deliveroo.

  2. Transportation: While there’s no explicit mention of Uber rides being comped for interns, other banks often provide this perk for late-night work. It’s worth confirming directly with Citi HR.

  3. Gym Access: There’s no specific mention of gym access or discounts for Citi interns in the WSO threads.

  4. Office Features: Citi’s new offices in Tribeca are highly praised. They feature an outdoor sky terrace halfway up the building and corner meeting rooms with stunning views of the Hudson River on every floor. The location in Tribeca is also considered a significant upgrade compared to Midtown.

  5. Other Perks: Citi interns reportedly do not receive corporate cards, and reimbursement for expenses has been delayed in some cases (e.g., summer 2022 interns waiting weeks for reimbursements). Additionally, Citi stopped giving out duffle bags and similar swag to interns and analysts a couple of years ago.

If you’re looking for more specific perks like Citi Bike discounts, it’s best to check directly with Citi’s HR or your internship coordinator.

$25 meal stipend after 7pm, free meals & Ubers on Sundays, Uber comped after 9 or 10pm. Gym in office but no discount on the membership (bc the membership is already discounted). Citi bike discount. There’s a cafeteria but meals are average price for NYC

The absolute biggest perk Citi interns get is that Citi is one of the only banks that does overtime for interns and you’re allowed to clock all of it. Some interns in the really sweaty groups make 50-60k total over the summer bc of the overtime pay. The other big perk is that in most of the groups you’re told a return offer is yours to lose, meaning you would have to really mess up not to get one.

This is super helpful thank you! Can I ask which groups are typically the ones where it is “yours to lose” the return offer?
