Citigroup comp rumors
I've been hearing a lot of rumors that Citigroup pays below street. Is this true? If it is, then i don't get it, they are top 5 in M+A league tables every year.

How do you define 'street'? Which firms are you using as the barometer?
The MM i-bank I interned at last year paid £36k base in London for IBD (probably gone up slightly this year)...Citi only pays £35k currently for IBD analysts (I've seen my friend's FT 2008 contract so this is not BS), altho I guess their bonuses would be substantially higher, so overall comp would be in line with the market??
