Classic WSO Question (sorry)
Hi guys,
I have unfortunately found myself in the position of your typical WSO poster and am hoping for words of wisdom to quell my neurotic tendencies.
I networked (non-target) with BSD MD at a MM/BB/EB. We talked about FX, FICC and IBD. He seemed to like my technic of tickling the balls. Should I ask him out on a date? Sound like a fair plan?
Cheers.
Be patient. They have a system. There's nothing that can be done except at a genuinely small firm.
Relax and enjoy college. Try to get an internship this summer.
Just stay in touch with them
Cheers guys.
I'm not in college anymore unfortunately (currently a straight to buy-side analyst 1 at a very odd [read career killing with no deal flow] hold to maturity buy-side credit place).
Enjoy your summer, maybe find a good internship.
You posted this in December, "Currently have a FT lined up at BB in EMEA DCM FIG, (think GS, MS, RBS) having completed SA at MM PE shop think (KKR, CVC, 3i), but debating whether to accept FICC trading offer at PWM boutique specialising in EU CDS arb."
and 5 months later you post this...
"I'm not in college anymore unfortunately (currently a straight to buy-side analyst 1 at a very odd [read career killing with no deal flow] hold to maturity buy-side credit place)."
Is everything you say just straight up bullshit? What's the point of asking for advice if you're not even truthful?
Yea the first one was, quite obviously, a troll post.
ur ass got DD'd
GTFO sonn
I don't know what that means. Sorry if you feel aggreived; shock horror, people troll on WSO. It's just the internet dude.
This is true, but most people don't follow up a series of immature obnoxious posts with one asking for advice.
If this is in fact a legitimate question, you do realize that there aren't exactly that many people out there that fit the profile you described in your first post? Regardless of whether or not it is "just the internet," there's always the potential of someone connecting you to these posts.
