Got an offer for SA 2024 for a niche group at a well-respected platform in IB. How much does the group I am in pigeonhole me for exit opps? For example, if I am doing M&A / RX for Energy and O&G, could I recruit for generalist buyout or generalist distressed credit / SS? Overall, not super interested in doing X niche post-banking, so would be looking to get out of that specific industry.
