Cohen and Company Capital Markets
Has anyone heard of Cohen and Company Capital Markets? I know it is fairly new, starting in 2021. Does anyone know anything about comp/culture there? Thanks

Take this with a grain of salt as I do not work there, but have a friend of a friend who does.
Believe it was started by a few powerhouse SPAC MD’s across TMT. Also think they pay base above street, no insight on bonus numbers. I know they are trying to get into M&A, but isnt every boutique lol. No idea how that’s going.
Feel like it’s a similar vibe to FTP, good at what they do, in this case TMT SPACs, and pay above street to attract decent talent.
Confirm base is above street and bonus below, probably market driven however.
140?
Curious abt this - has anyone heard about how their summer analyst internships / interview processes are like?
bump
Their new MD, Brandon Sun, was part of the Deutsche Bank strip club scandal
need to clarify & add context here. it was reported that he did not attend the strip club. his bosses did, hence why he's employed and others aren't
.
following
Base is a lot higher than BB, but bonus won't be as high. STill lots of dealflow (deSPACs) despite market conditions. ANd yes, we are aware the MD was part of the strip club scandal.
How does all-in comp compare to EB's and do you see it becoming a competitive EB with time? Considering applying next cycle as it seems to be a rare opportunity to join a fast-growing boutique with a talented senior team. Any additional thoughts would be great. Thank you
Bump
also curious, heard great things about insanely fast growth and consistently good deal flow
Bump. Anyone know how top of street SPAC exposure on the buyside could translate to PE exits?
SPACs are garbage
because?
Are they hiring SA/FT?
bump, seems like they have lots of potential?
