Cola War - Pepsi Vs Coke

Both companies have had some interesting news lately. Pepsi will be increasing its marketing budget and will be feature the Michael Jackson on its cans. Coke is bringing out mid-calorie versions of some of its brands like Sprite and Fanta, and is teaming up with Mark Ronson for its 2012 London Olympics anthem. (Note that Pepsi already introduced a low calorie drink In March 2012).

Coca-Cola is testing a new blend of sweeteners aimed at lowering the calorie counts in sodas, following on the heels of its rival, PepsiCo, which introduced the 60-calorie Pepsi Next at the end of March.

Pepsi Next went on sale in a handful of markets at the end of March, and PepsiCo is so far pleased with consumer response, said Dave DeCecco, a spokesman.

It seems they love to copy eachother and constantly try to attract attention to remain competitive.

Do you think they should have a mega merger? Which brand do you prefer and why?

Low calorie drinks don’t necessarily mean they are healthier. Do you think both of these companies market well or do we just love the taste too much?

The correct response is, "Is Monopoly money ok?"

I'm like one of them marriage counselors. Charge by the hour to tell some fool he needa bring some flowers home. Then charge another hour telling the bitch she oughta suck some cock every little once in a while. Keep a marriage strong like that. -Prop Joe

"Yeah, Pepsi is fine. Just wanted to let you know, I'll be paying with Confederate $20 bills so I hope that's okay too."
