Colgate vs. Holy Cross vs. Bates vs. Tufts vs. Trinity
Would be an athlete at all of these. Which is best for IB recruiting. Parents will pay for school so that's not a concern.

Tufts is a middle-tier NESCAC alongside Middlebury / Bowdoin / Wesleyan that is below the top 2 of Williams/Amherst, even though Tufts is probably the clear worst school on this tier. It is very well respected academically and professionally though I think it has fallen down in the rankings compared to what it was 5-10 years ago. Regardless, reputations last a long-time and Tufts will be very respected. Bates and Trinity are considered lower on the NESCAC rankings historically. Holy Cross and Colgate are just worse schools. I went to one of W/A, but would strongly recommend Tufts out of these options.
Based on "parents will pay for school" u seem like a great fit for Tufts
Current student, agree with the points on reputation.
I know it wasn't asked, but going to school in a big city also seems more fun (currently at one of the tier-2 LACs listed above).
Tufts is the best school academically on the list. If you feel like you could make any of your options work socially/geographically, go with Tufts.
