Collaboration between M&A & Capital markets team

In an internship interview case-study (and the like) where you are working on an acquisition, you are asked how you feel about collaborating with multiple teams and how you intend to build a relationship with those in other teams. How do you answer the question, and how do you structure your answer?

Situations where you might include (can't think of that many):

- Discussions with LevFin (or sector teams) to find underlying assumptions in the LBO as they are closer to the market for up-to-date figures

- Work with Corporate Broking (UK only) to understand the perception of a coverage company by investors/market

---

For quick & easy questions, you could ask others in your joining class (once an analyst/associate), however on the internship it is more likely that you'd ask your analyst/associate you're working with who best to contact in the appropriate team.

By being specific in your request (where possible) in order to not waste their time and being helpful to them if necessary in future, you hope to build a long-term relationship with XYZ team.

Just gotta hope they don't leave the bank the next week lmao

I meant being asked about collaboration & relationship building in an internship interview/job simulation (specifically in an acquisition scenario where M&A had to work together with other teams)
