College offers out: Berkeley vs. USC Marshall vs. WashU Olin
Hey everyone,
Posting on behalf of my buddy in high school trying to make a college decision, with the long-term goal of breaking into IB or consulting.
They’re deciding between three options: Berkeley, USC Marshall, WashU Olin
Pros:
Berkeley: more internationally recognized overall, if finance/consulting doesn't work out there are more options
USC Marshall: biz school has great placement , better party culture
WashU Olin: kind of as good as USC Marshall but colder?
The kid is pretty driven and willing to network aggressively. Would really appreciate candid advice.
Come on the answer is obvious.
Really between UCB and USC. UCB places slightly better but USC’s placements are still great. Ultimately depends on his preferences for college experience, you can get a marginally better education/shot to break into IB but the trade off is a dog shit college experience. Would pick USC
Go party in LA for four years and also get a job in IB instead of going to that blue haired cesspool
