Commercial Sales at Fortune 250 or IBD

Interned in MF PE for SA however did not convert due to hiring freeze at the fund.

Have had little luck with head hunters so far since I seem to be competing for analyst positions against recently laid off analysts / msc grads.

Have opportunity to join a Fortune 250 company within commercial sales for a 2 year grad programme. Comp is mediocre at best but will pay the bills and offer great WLB to work on side-hustles etc.

My question is: will I be able to re-recruit into IB / Finance in general with a year or two in commercial sales?

And if not, what is my best move here? Perhaps stay there for a couple of years and go for an MSC / MBA to re-recruit into IB once banking sector recovers?

Cheers!
