Commerzbank M&A Frankfurt

Hey guys!

How do you think of Commerzbank Large Cap M&A in Frankfurt in terms of prestige, compensation and exit opps? After a SA stint there, is it possible to move to a BB or an elite boutique (esp. Lazard, Greenhill, Rothschild) for FT, or do they exclusively hire out of their analyst pool?

Does anybody know something about the FT compensation at CoBa in Frankfurt?

Greets,

greenhill in frankfurt is not really elite, same goes for lazard (except for the name maybe). If you play your cards right you shouldn't have any problems to go there. Rothschild may be another story.

I'm talking about liquid. Rich enough to have your own jet. Rich enough not to waste time. Fifty, a hundred million dollars, buddy. A player. Or nothing. See my Blog & AMA

Any information on compensation @ Commerzbank?

So, do you think working at a MM bank during summer could really hurt my chances?

I don't really know why you try to compare CoBa with a real IB. I wouldn't recommend going there unless you're talking equiy research. compensation will be also much lower compared to BB or stronger boutiques. It's just not a good name for investment banking and ppl in the industry know that. If you don't get another job you could possibly do it for a year and apply for a position at another insitution (BB or boutique) but I am pretty sure that you gotta start from the buttom.
