Community college or University I do not want to attend?
So I've been freaking out the past week or so over how I do not want to go to the school I'd be attending in the fall.. As of now I am going to U of Arizona to study finance but I'm not too excited to be going there and I know I can do much better. I plan on transferring out after a year from wherever I go, I'm just curious if prestigious schools will prefer say U of Arizona students over a community college.

GPA matters much more than school. However if you go to CC, should probably be working too so universities will see you're busy
source: know a few transfers who went to CC
If I were to go to CC I would get my real estate license, that's main thing pushing me to go to CC.
why would you do that if you want to go into IB? Unless you're talking about the Series exam, in which case it's equally useless.
People go to CC for financial reasons. Making it seem otherwise reflects badly. Of course, this is just my opinion and I could be wrong
why are these your only two options? Can you take a gap year and do something interesting such as volunteering/working abroad? If you do something interesting and maybe retake the SAT/ACT, you can apply to better schools next year.
I have my RE license and currently attend CC. Feel free to pm me.
