Competing offer
When HR asks for proof of competing offer, are you supposed to send the email that indicates you received an offer, or do you have to send the full contract letter?

Maybe someone who’s done this before can answer better but I would provide the contract as an email might not be enough as proof (could easily forge)

If you are lying by any chance, not a good idea. If not, pretty unlikely they'll ask you for the actual proof, though I've seen them try to stir up some shit to check if it's real or not.
The offers I’ve gotten in the past have language saying the document is “confidential” so I’m not sure why HR would ever think that would be okay to share. Also have never had HR ask for another firm’s offer that’s wild.
