Computer Science degree
If I get a BS in Computer Science, would that get me a job as an analyst at Goldman Sachs?
Does the school where you get it from matter?

Analyst doing what? It's like you're trying to say as long as you have a CS degree you're guaranteed to get a job at Goldman. That means everyone should go get for a CS degree. Unlike other banks, Goldman is definitely known for non-tradition hiring. They seek out individuals within all majors, philosophy, art, etc, etc, as long as your grades are solid and came from a good school (this factor will never change in comparison to other banks, which are more lenient in their FO roles).
i went to a crap state school in the northeast, and got a FO role (after a stint in IT). I've seen a variety of backgrounds in the hiring...S&T probably very different from IB tho.
Yeah but you’re definitively an outlier. I’m not even sure if that’s even common now a days. But you know what, there are definitely way less trading jobs than there was back then when you were at a bank too and competition is probably more fierce than ever.
Give me a job at the Goldman Sachs!
