Corp Dev - BangBros

Not a troll post. I'm not interested in staying up until midnight reading CIMs on stupid workflow software businesses - I'm trying to do some crazy shit with my life. Realize that joining the porn industry is a death sentence for your standing in society, but I don't really give a shit about business school or optics of my role. I'm also guessing there is a serious lack of qualified candidates for corp dev/strategy at a place like Bang Bros, meaning that target background and PE experience would be viewed very favorably. With those factors in mind, how would one go about applying for a position at one of the large companies in the space? This is a long shot but I'm guessing at least one person on this forum has some insight. Thanks.

Do a lot of porn industry companies do M&As or need cap raises? I don't think so.

I would figure that because of the freelance nature of the job that there's not much need for internal advisory and mergers. Porn doesn't need start up capital compared to a tech or healthcare company, that's why people who are broke and don't have money enter the industry and become actors. In this idea, there's not much to advise on.

Since you mentioned it's not a troll post, I personally don't think there's much space or need for qualified finance personnel other than accountants and tax analysts. Just my opinion.

You wanna do crazy shit in your life? Learn to bartend, and travel the world bartending, meeting people, and trying your best to talk your way into cool situations.

Did this with a buddy of mine after graduating university. Nine months travelling Mexico, and we ended up in some pretty cool spots. My buddy's superpower is being able to talk his way into anything (staying at the mansions of people we just met, getting into exclusive clubs, etc.), and my superpower is following his lead like a lost puppy.

I don't even know what it was, but he somehow knew who to "target." Like we were just chilling at a hostile in Southern Mexico, and he struck up a conversation with a very average looking dude and his wife/gf/whatever she was. Next thing you know, we are in a private car heading up to some music festival on the beach, followed by an afterparty at this guy's mansion (wealth disparity in Mexico is huge). The guy invited us to stay for a while, so we cancelled our accommodations and spent the next week living like kings. This was not an uncommon occurrence during the trip.

It just seemed like he always knew the right people to talk to, and exactly what to say. I was just stoked to be along for the ride. Side note, he's currently back in Mexico doing more of the same, meanwhile I'm stuck behind the desk staring at a screen 12+ hours a day.
