Corporate Banking Salaries- UK 2021

Considering a CB career and am interested in finding out what Corporate Bankers in the UK are getting paid.

-Position

-Base + Bonus/expected bonus + sign on

-Type of bank and whether CB sit under the Investment Banking umbrella (CIB) or not.

Thanks!

Not the same cost of living, purchasing power is roughly the same as with US salaries

Brexit devaluing the pound in 2016 =/= £50k in London having drastically different buying power vs $85k in NYC.

banks set salaries at rough parity when they increased base across the board. what you think is “low” now is due to fx not tangible values.

aka a shit take

Thanks. Does DB house CB under the Investment Banking arm?- if so that is significantly lower than I was expecting (only 10% bonus?, most US Corp Banking threads say around 30%!)

CB used to be under IB until the last restructuring when the divisions were separated.

Compared to IB, the base in CB is higher, signing bonus is the same, end of year bonus is much lower.

It’s very competitive comp for London when you consider that CB at places like RBS and Lloyd’s pay a lot less.
