Corporate Banking to Investment Banking
How common is the lateral to start off in corporate banking and move over to investment banking? And how big are the pay differences at the analyst/associate/vp level? (Base and bonus) Thanks in advance!

A move to LevFin or even DCM is pretty straightforward if you are interested in that path
Could you move into a different industry group within IB?
You can, it will just be harder - the groups he mentioned will just be easier given that CB works a lot with debt.
Is it easier to make the move to levfin internally at a bank or is it easier to switch banks?
Probably in the same bank, but each bank is different regarding internal mobility. If CB is under same umbrella as IB would assume it’s easier within the same bank, if not it still might be easier at the same bank or maybe the same as going to another bank , idk
