Corporate Research Team - Credit Risk - Goldman Sachs

Hi guys,

I've got an offer to work at GS in the Credit Risk Division as part of the Corporate Research Team.

I can't find anything on Corporate Research and was wondering what it would entail?

I've also been told by HR that Credit Risk are in touch with all business lines and are on due diligence calls with clients regularly. Is this true as I want to know if its a way to build connections?

Also, Credit Risk isn't something I want to go into. I love picking stocks and doing equity research. How translatory are the skills to work for a hedge fund taking on margin or derivatives for example?

I need some insight, help a guy out.

Cheers lads
