Could I get a job in IB when I move to US?-Want your viewpoints and suggestions

Hello all,

I'm new here, I want to hear from you guys before making a decision cos you are the peers in the same line in US, all views are welcomed and essential to me.

I'm working in Hong Kong and Beijing now, 5 ys in IBD (mainly in M&A, TMT sector) + 2 ys in PE (LBO, TMT sector), my focus market is in Hong Kong and mainland China, as most of our clients and targets are Chinese companies. But I'm about to move to US late this year or early next year, so I wanna know the possibility to get a job in IB in US as I know clearly my shortage is none experience in US market?

If you think it's possible, could you offer me some advice on how to get a job more efficiently? (such as sending profile to company website directly? Or by headhunters? Or by networking?) And let me know how difficult it is…

If you think it's barely possible, could you care to elaborate and let me figure it out, then I must have to prepare for Plan B.

Much thanks in advance.
