Could Starting a Drug Policy Reform Club at school hurt my odds during the i-banking recruitment process

This might be a stupid question but I'm genuinely curious if doing this might hurt my chances as a candidate.

I plan on starting a club at my school centered around drug policy and prison reform. This is a subject I've been passionate about since high school. I want to help educate other students on campus about the flaws of our current drug policies and incarceration laws. It's certainly not like I'm advocating for the use of drugs nor arguing that all drugs should be legal, but I'm worried some people might perceive it that way which may ultimately hurt my chances at landing a job. Obviously, it probably depends on the person interviewing me, but I'd love some insight on this.

Given that I have a good personal story as to why I'm passionate about this subject and am able to clearly explain and defend my viewpoint, should I put it on my resume?

If you want to tie it in a way that helps your chances in IB, really emphasize your values and personal connection to the damage wrought from the war on drugs. Impact of personal stories creates an emotional justification and really digging into the economic costs & implications of various policies shows that you really understand what you're doing vs "oh I want all drugs to just be legal".
