COVID-Adjusted Exit Ops

IB is not for me. Call me soft or whatever but I would much rather do other work. Given COVID will persist a while, how will exit ops (non-PE - thinking startups) be impacted if you had to guess?
I'd love to switch to a different role ~next summer and want to make my expectations reasonable.

IMO the primary impact of COVID will be state of the economy / potentially having to interview via Zoom. Hiring managers will still recognize the skills that junior bankers develop
It’s okay, IB isn’t for everyone (or anyone). What do you want to do longterm? If you’re interested in tech, then go startup or Corp dev. If you want PE maybe try LMM funds. If you just hit the desk it’s going to be very hard to convey that banking was beneficial. Lastly, don’t take a job out of fear or anger. You’ll just be miserable.
What is the lifestyle like in LMM? TBH making internal IC presentations seems like a drag, but if the hours were 9-6 I could certainly cope.
