Credit Rating (Sales) to IB

Graduated in 2022 from a non-target uni with a non-target degree (I had no idea what finance was, let alone IB).
After uni, I got a sales job at one of the big three rating agencies.

During this year I fell in love with the financial world, did some courses, basically learnt everything I could in my evenings.

Realised few months ago I wanted to make the switch to IB.

My two main options are:

  • Get an MSc starting in September 23, although the only target Uni that still accept application is Warwick, and given the time of the year my chances are getting in are slim
  • Try to make the jump from sales to a leverage/structured analyst position within my company

What would you do? Would actually be a structured/lev/corp credit analyst in one of the big three help in lateralling to IB without target school?

Another possibility could also start a master in 2024, although I am not too sure if would be too late to make it to An1 at 25 y/o?

An1 at 24-26 is really common in the UK because there's a lot of Masters students from Europe.

What course is still accepting MSc applications literally 2 months before?
