Is Credit Suisse finishing as the top global ipo underwriter a sign that they are moving up again in the ranks as a bank? 6 in M&A and 6th overall in investment banking revenue all these are jumps from the year prior. Any thoughts on this? Seems like people on here like to give them a bad rap but they seem like they’re on the come up again

They definitely had a good year with some really large M&A deals and good ECM. They also have no intention of shrinking the IB unlike some people say.
Agreed. Based on what their CEO has said they plan to expand the division not shrink it. Weird how people in here have such strongly negative things to say
