Credit Suisse FIG Reputation?
What is the reputation of the Financial Institutions Group at Credit Suisse? Are they known to be anywhere near a top group at CS? Are they considered a top FIG group on the street? I saw they were on the WorldPay deal. Looking for guidance and advice to see if a lateral shift for an older friend of mine would be a good idea, some of our friends were saying yes and others said no so I thought I would get better advice here.
Not a top FIG group. Don't think they're a top group at CS either, but not positive.
The WorldPay deal was covered out of TMT.

Based on interactions with people in that group. Top groups at CS are Sponsors, Lev Fin, TMT and M&A. I think Industrials are good too.

Is it good to be in FIG at a time like this where the business cycle could be slowing since FIG can be counter-cyclical?
