Crypto-focused ib?
I’m curious are there any investment banks that specialize in crypto? Like for example solanalabs is a company that creates products that can be used on the solana block chain. I haven’t found any investment banks that specialize in this sector, if anyone knows any please comment below
What would such an IB do...
Maybe solanalabs could be sold to someone else down the line, or other crypto companies that don’t actually create the coins but just use the blockchains to make their own products , just a standard m&a maybe idk, gotta be a way to make money there

Given the weird relationship to exit liquidity, traditional IB style M&A and capital market activity has historically been pretty minimal
Galaxy, which was linked above, has a very legit reputation with crypto-natives, but IB is a business that they sort of tacked on later after great success in principal investing and other categories first. There are a handful of other boutique type companies that claim to be "Crypto Investment Banks" but I literally can't understand what they do, especially since Tokenomics advisory is solidly a separate thing.
I have no doubt if there were sufficient M&A activity in crypto that a small subset of BB/EB type banks would have some sort of presence in it.
Potentially also worth mentioning LionTree, they had some presence in the last cycle, but it was more on the merchant side.

FT Partners has some crypto clients. Check their Q3 research report it has a lot of private market info and breaks it out into all fintech and fintech ex-crypto. Galaxy Digital is also heavily focused on crypto / emerging areas of fintech.
