Besides the dank sushi bar anyone got any information on groups/culture/hours?

Sponsors can be pretty busy and does well but LevFin hours are some of the lightest, M&A also works some of the longest hours. Consumer works a lot due to tons of pitching and is generally disorganized and has had a lot of departures over the last year. Overall culture is good and people are friendly, no protected Saturdays but people are generally respectful about Saturday work. Hours vary by group and and project but are generally some of the most reasonable on the street. Associates and up got paid very high bonuses this year (above street by a considerable margin which was unexpected but they had a blowout year last year like everyone else), however analysts have not been paid yet so it remains to be seen if they get rewarded as well.

Any idea on the other groups/which groups have the best culture/hours?

Any idea of which groups have the best exits? At this point, I’m willing to grind my ass off if it means I can lateral to an EB or get into UMM PE (which seems incredibly hard out of Nomura).

Also curious about deal flow and pitching between groups if anyone has insight
