Curious what happens in 2 month grad training
I'm curious why new IB grads need 2 months of training in NYC, London etc (for bulge brackets I think primarily). I know that summer interns only have around a week of training where they get taught basic val and industry knowledge to prep them. Why do new grads need two whole months of training, which is a substantial amount of time? What are they actually being taught on a daily basis, do most people take it as a free time period especially if they're travelling to a new city for their training?
Thanks

Isn‘t it one month usually?
Usually, yep, not sure where this guy has got two months from. You do need to sit some FCA exams, but they don't take long to prep for.
Oh is it one month? My question still applies if anyone can provide some insight
At my BB it’s 1 week of training in London, 2 in NY and then you sit FCA exams. ‘Training’ mostly consists of listening to presentations.
US BB?
