Current freshman looking to apply for MM/BB roles for my sophomore summer - tips?

A little bit of background - I have a 4.0 at a target, a few past internships, a current one, and solid finance extracurriculars. That being said, none of my internships are in finance directly. I'm also planning on marketing myself as a class of 2023 expected grad since I have the credits to technically be considered a sophomore.

I know I have a decent resume, but I have no idea what recruiting would entail since I'm not really close with anyone who could guide me through it. Will any banks take me seriously? I was thinking of mainly just targeting middle markets and only going for the BB sophomore programs so that it doesn't handicap me for next year's recruiting.

Most importantly, how should I go about networking and what are timelines like? Should I just contact alumni at every bank I'm thinking of applying to and explain my situation? How should my approach differ from someone applying for a junior position?

Any help would be much appreciated. And yes, I know I'm a hardo but I don't give a shit.

Sorry, not comfortable doing so. I outlined the key points, rest of it is as generic as it gets.
