on culture: centerview's rep is small senior-heavy teams, generalist m&a, top-of-street comp, and hours that are better than a sweatshop BB but still banking hours - the draw is leaner staffing and real responsibility earlier, not a 9-5. people who lateral there tend to be escaping exactly what you're escaping.

on the lateral process at that level: expect 3-5 rounds and for it to be deal-heavy rather than technical-quiz heavy. they'll pick one or two deals off your cv and go twenty minutes deep - your actual role, the client dynamic, why the structure made sense. have a why-lateral answer that isn't 'my group is a sweatshop' - frame it as wanting the generalist model and senior exposure. and know their recent announced deals cold, they expect you've done the reading.
