Hi everyone. Currently an incoming summer analyst. Considering DB REGLL since it’s one of their higher ranked groups but wanted to know more about REGLL in general and exit opps. Seems general consensus is you get pigeon holed but it doesn’t seem like being in this group helps for real estate PE recruiting?

You are pigeonholed into RE yes, but on the flip side it means that there is broadly less competition for REPE spots as your only competition is other analysts in RE groups usually. I would say REGLL is a great group if interested in the space and places far better than other DB groups albiet only in it's specific niche sector. Do not enter the group if you want to do generalist PE or something like PC, but great place if you want to do REPE.
Do you have any insights into the culture / hours of the group?
REGLL doesn't only do RE, in fact just from my convos with a few people in the team there is a really big opportunity to specialise in gaming for example if pure RE isn't your cup of tea. Team is full of wonderful people but hours can be bad as expected. Great exits - previous analysts went to top credit / PE shops
