DB vs HSBC IBD
Any thoughts on this comparison, if that is in Hong Kong specifically. I have received both offer for IBD SA and pretty struggling. Any thoughts will be appreciated.

Hsbc for sure, DB IB is sinking in ALL locations
Weren’t they like ranked 7/8th for total North America investment banking fees?
HSBC pays well with strong deal flow across real estate, infrastructure, DCM and FIG
I would try to decide base on culture fit and likelihood of getting a return offer. At the end of the day your major goal as a SA is to get the return. Everything else comes second.
I would say in Hong Kong HSBC slightly better,
but if you have ever considered working abroad, then the reputation of DB will give you more advantages.
Agree the return offer matters the most for SA, and I think HSBC had a good return rate in the past few years, not sure about DB.
So I would pick HSBC
