Deal/Credit Committee FO?
My goal is to eventually join a deal/credit committee. I'm wondering what their hours are like, and whether bonuses are structured similarly to that of strategy or banking groups?
I'm not sure what you're talking about. I've never heard of a specific role where your only job is to serve on a credit committee. The people who vote on whether to commit or pass on a deal are senior employees on the banking, syndicate, portfolio, and risk teams. It's not their full time jobs. If you are a junior staffed on the deal you will be working on all phases of the deal (due diligence, modeling, deal memo, etc.). If you were in a DCM/LevFin or credit risk group you will attend these committees often. Hope that helps
