Debt and Equity Financing
I was doing some research, and came across a website called EquityNet. It is companies looking for funding, and i was wondering. Why don't the companies on this website reach out to investment banks that can assist them in the debt or equity financing. Would love your input, thank you.
Forgot to add this, I know the amounts some of the companies are looking to raise is small, but some are upwards of $40-$50 milllion. Many boutique IB would do that deal.
It looks like the fee would be much lower than engaging a banker. I think these are accredited individual investors with the provision to do so under the JOBs Act, so it also gives the benefit of allowing the borrower to have more flexibility, as well as stay private longer. This is a great platform, and as a proponent of capitalism, I hope this platform and others like it do very well.
