Decision offer: RBC capital markets (not coverage) versus Baird/WB/HL coverage (non-nyc)
I really don’t want to be in Chicago, whereas RBC is in New York. I really don’t want to leave NYC but I’m also worried about getting siloed into a capital markets function as well.
Any tips on what I should choose? Not rly thinking about banking exits more so which I could potentially lateral into an NYC coverage position, be that at RBC or elsewhere.
I have 4 days so any help would be amazing!!
Take the MM job. Those are all great shops.
RBC no question. ECM and DCM are great jobs and you can easily move internally after a year or so. Being in NYC pays big dividend, too.
