Schedule some time with your staffer and ask this question to them (rephrased of course to highlight your eagerness to excel in the analyst role as opposed to simply elevating how you are perceived).
You may also just have to appreciate that until your desk gets a new deal/pitch in, where you are the analyst on the deal, the only places you will be needed will be as support on existing deals. May be worth asking your directors what sort of BD initiatives they are working on and if they need any support on those.
