Here is another recent post related to those MM banks in Chicago: //www.wallstreetoasis.com/forums/what-are-your-thoughts-on-lincoln-intera…

Experience will be similar, if not better in some cases. To be honest, the work experience is pretty similar in many ways. Just a matter of whether you're dealing in millions or billions. It's an oversimplification as there are different issues related to middle market (typically no public info) vs. large cap, public companies, but for the most part, not an issue.

Pay is about the same.

Exit ops will be better at BB and elite boutiques, with the one exception if you're looking at joining a MM PE fund in Chicago. You're on more even footing there and in many cases, will have better opportunities since MM PE funds deal with MM banks so there are a lot more connected networks.
