Hi everyone,

I’d appreciate some feedback on how realistic it would be for me to land a Summer Analyst position in Investment Banking.

My background:

* Currently in the penultimate year of my Master’s at a top French business school
* Previous internship at an MBB
* Previous internship at a Tier 2 strategy consulting firm
* No prior Investment Banking internship

I’m now looking to transition into IB, ideally M&A, and would mainly target BBs and EBs in London and continental Europe.

How competitive would this profile be for Summer Analyst recruiting? Would MBB + T2 consulting experience compensate to some extent for the lack of previous IB experience, or would not having prior transaction experience put me at a significant disadvantage?

Also, would you recommend focusing on Summer Analyst positions, or would off-cycle internships be a more realistic route?

Thanks!
