Bump Or anyone has worked as off-cycle in other locations? Any tips on finding opportunities? Thanks in advance!!
I'm interested in the answer to this too, but as far as I'm aware they're quite ad hoc, in which case it's just about networking. You could always call HR at these banks and ask if there are any opportunities, which is something I'll be trying soon, but equally just need to network and then ask them if they have any off-cycle internships (or can make it up) going.
Thanks for sharing!! I thought about this option too but it's quite hard for me to make a start since I basically don't know anyone there in London... Do you have any suggestion on where to start? Can I PM you with questions?
Sure, but to be honest I'm in the same boat as you and don't know that much more it seems.
I think just a case of networking and talking to people at the bank to be told about these kinds of positions. It's when networking becomes more useful in the UK at this stage, as generally it's less important otherwise in the US (from what I gather).
Many of the BB's in London have a formalized off-cycle recruiting process. You can take a look at milkround or gradnav to see if there's anything that suits your timeline when you will be out. Probably more likely to find something at boutique now though.
