Deloitte Extends FT offers to interns

As of this afternoon, Deloitte has canceled their internship program and moved to a two-week volunteer program. They will also be extending FT offers to all interns if they meet certain minimum requirements.

Further, the email says “Our new program will be a voluntary two - week summer virtual experience that will consist of a number of different activities providing you with an experience to engage with our professionals and your peers. It will be held July 13th- July 24th. You will receive a payment of $4,000 less applicable withholdings and authorized deductions.”

Consulting from what I've heard. Ik marketing and a couple of other divisions have gotten emails stating theyll receieve an update soon so they'll probably get auto FT as well.

Fantastic move on their part, not just for the FT offers but making the program voluntary too. If we're keeping it 100% honest, a lot of these virtual programs are bull. Useful for the kids who may be new to the industry and genuinely trying to get an insight, but a waste of time for kids who've already done internships in the industry and know their hearts set on it and are just looking to secure their FT offer. A virtual program for a few weeks won't teach those kids anything, controversial opinion but better to let those kids use those weeks in summer for something more productive.
