Think u might have to go on laptop or computer to see it - sorry but I couldn’t find out how to otherwise.

just saw it. have to ask why if you have three A*'s are you going to Bristol? nothing against Bristol as breaking in is still doable but your grades are more than good enough to get into a target. I'm going to a target for econ and politics and my grades are 2 grades worse than yours.

Just my own personal thoughts but I'd reapply especially if your starting in 2025. I mean hell with 3A* achieved you could get into Oxbridge and LSE (with some luck) but certainly UCL, and Warwick for econ which will give you a much better chance.

congrats on LSE bro - i certainly see where you are coming from but i really like bristol and have lots of friends going there. i did consider it but i have multiple friends who have had 3 a stars and faced lse, ucl and warwick rejections, sometimes all 3. i also got rejected by oxbridge and UCL last year (didnt apply lse) and i dont think my new application would be much better, if at all. good luck with applying to spring weeks mate.

still a really interesting point tho - does anyone else have much advice on my situation? is it worth reapplying?

3 a stars predicted is a lot different compared to three a stars achieved. You would get in to at least one target econ course swear to god. Admissions rates heavily increased this year as unis are trying to fill the drop in international students+ grade boundaries going up so more people miss their offers.

Also if you’re really serious about trying to get in to high finance then you have to take advantage of your excellent grades and get into the best uni u can!! Or at the absolute minimum you should swap to straight econ at bristol.

Idk up to you but if people were put in ur situation i think they’d do it.

also what do you lose by re-applying other than 25 quid and some time making a decent personal statement??

bristol was in clearing this year and likely will be next year. The econ/politics course will still be waiting for you even if you get rejected by ucl or warwick (which you wont)

sounds sensible tbf - will definitely have a think about it.ppl will probably flame me for this but i did get a warwick offer but didnt firm it cos i went to the uni and actually hated it. everyone was a robot. i dont regret it even though its way higher than bristol on those circle jerk tier lists. would probs do lse ucl durham then bristol if i were to reapply.

also bro do you know the grade profiles of most ppl getting into lse for econ and politics cos the offer rate is v low at below 20% which kinda puts me off reapplying. my gcses werent as good as my a levels and im non diverse and obvs a home applicant without too many impressive extracurriculars. why do u think the offer rate is so low too? most ppl who i speak to applied got in and they arent geniuses.

Suggest you ask people you have connected with in IB for resume advice. Your CV is all over the place and has lots of issues so getting specific help would be better.

In my experience (to be fair, it's been 5+ years), this forum is great for the finishing touches but if you want real constructive criticism you're going to have to interact with real people.

Not sure how it works across the pond, but have you tried your university's career services?

Thanks for the advice - I will reach out to others. Would you mind really quickly highlighting the glaring mistakes? No need to go into great detail. It would be greatly appreciated.
