Depressed about SA internship! What should I do? HELP!

I've been offered a SA position by a BB in NY. I've been feeling depressed as of late because of this because I realized I don't want to be working 100+ hours while in a new city away from my friends and family. While I was going through this process I thought this was all I wanted, but now I realize this isn't anything that I want. I'm not sure I really want to do IB because honestly work/life balance is important to me. I get jealous of my friends that are at home having a decent summer or the ones that are going to be going to med or dental school. I've thought about going down that route as well. I'm not sure what I should do any ideas?

I am just a student, but from what I have researched and talked to current med school guys, med-school is pretty brutal. I have talked with several 1st/2nd year guys and they usually hit 60+ hours a week in studying/classes and the hours stack up when they get close to exams.

IMO, you should suck it up and leverage the experience as an internship stamp of approval when you apply to jobs more focused on W/L balance. It is only 10-12 weeks anyways.

I am currently interviewing for CorpDev positions and from what I have seen from the backgrounds of the CorpDev managers and HR, they love people from IBD. If there are entry level CorpDev positions available and you apply with a BB IBD SA, I am certain that you have a much stronger chance than someone like me applying.

You do know your med/dental school pals are going to actually go through hell during med/dental school, post med/dental school internship, and then through their residency? And even after that, you're still starting at the bottom of the totem pole. Not to mention the fact that you have to work for decades knowing a minor mistake - misspelling something on a prescription to a slight of hand in the OT - could mean both their patient(s) and career dying.
