Deustche Bank Spring into Banking First Year Programme
Hey guys,
Hoping to get some advice here. Last December, I signed up for the Deustche Bank Spring into Banking programme under their Global Markets division. After a phone interview and some online numerical reasoning tests, I 'm now into the first round which is on next Wednesday.
Here's the problem: After the course of the last few months interviewing at S&T divisions of banks and networking with seniors, I have come to realise that I'm perhaps not that keen on S&T. I've done some reading and research and now, I'm more inclined towards IBD.
The interview next week is a competency based interview by 2 Graduate Recruiters.
Here's the dilema:
1) Should I inform them of my shift in interest and explain it, hoping that I would stand a chance to be transferred to the corporate finance division under the programme? I'm not sure how they would perceive this as well.
2) Deustche's ECM division is under the Global Markets group. I could play it differently and say that I have always been interested in either M&A, Leveraged Finance or ECM. However, with some thought I decided to sway towards ECM and hence applied for the Global Markets Division?
3) Should I even speak of my shift in interest?
Much advise needed here! =//
ecm at db is under global banking, not global markets.

Under Capital Markets
At DB NYC, ECM is part of Corp Fin, not markets.
