Deutsche Bank Mock Interview Purpose

So what's the real purpose of company-sponsored mock interviews? I go to an ivy and just had one earlier today with Deutsche. I originally thought that it was supposed to be a real practice with regular advise, and then thought "why would a company pay money for employees to travel all the way over here just to hold practice interviews?" Is there a "hidden agenda?" Do they note really good interviewers? Does it actually affect

I'm asking because my interviewer said I did really well and I have great credentials but I need to sharpen my technical skills (I'm not a finance major fyi). I'm just curious as to whether anything that happened in that room has any effect on recruiting later?
