Deutsche CM vs MUFG Advisory vs HSBC IB

My fellow primates,

I am in need of your wisdom to decide what the best course of action might be for my next summer internship 2019. I currently have three offers from Deutsche, MUFG, and HSBC but they all have their pros and cons as they are in different groups within investment banking.

On the one hand, I feel like despite Deutsche being a BB the reputation lately is not the best. In addition, the group I will be joining is the Capital Markets so the modeling skills for future exit opportunities might not be there.

MUFG might place me in their LevFin group or Corporate Advisory (similar to M&A) but I think the name is not as strong on the street, though I feel the skills will be more critical for future exits opportunities like PE and also they seem to keep gaining territory and respect in the advisory world.

HSBC I like, but I am not sure about their deal flow and the prestige of the bank as whole. I would also be joining the LevFin or M&A division.

I truly appreciate in advance your thoughts and insights.

Since my interest lies more in IB, I’d probably go for the DB CM since I think it might be a bit easier to make the switch to M&A or Coverage from there than from S&T.... just my opinion
