Seems like an unnecessary risk to put it in your resume. Sure there might be the occasional anime fan, but I’d operate under the assumption that the wide majority of people are not anime fans and will assume the worst. Not worth it for the 5 minute conversation with the rare anime fan.
Agree that it's not worth putting on your resume. Don't get me wrong, I love anime and if you love it too you should by all means hold on to your hobby, but it just seems like an unnecessary risk. If it is at all relevant to your situation, consider putting "East Asian culture" (i.e. Japanese culture) instead.
Lots of juniors are into anime and the ones that aren't are pretty agnostic. However, anime is probably perceived less favorably by anyone above the age of 25 or 26. Not a great risk return profile tbh.
I would generally not include, but if you have stereotypically "bro-y" things on your resume (captain of lax/baseball team, frat president, etc) you might get away with it and end up having that one amazing networking call / interview that gets you the job. I still wouldn't include it, though.

probably not
Yes absolutely
They’ll assume you watch copious amounts of hentai.
It’s a flip of the coin. I would shy away from it because it seems like lots of people have a negative opinion of it.
Some people will think you’re a cool guy because you have similar interests as them. But others will think you’re just a freak lol
Yeah, that seems to be the general consensus here, thanks.
Unless you want to be shat on, no.

Yep, got it, considering the negative perceptions that some or most may have, the safest bet will be to leave it off, thanks.
